How to use it
- Connect the gamepad.
- Start the test and do not touch the analog sticks during measurement.
- Observe how close the sample cloud stays to center.
- Review P95 center deviation; complete the confirmation round if the result is suspicious.
The Gamepad Problem Isolator compares the same measurement under a second condition to help separate device, connection, and game-related causes.
Measure center deviation only after the analog sticks are truly released. If movement occurs during the test, the round is invalid; one suspicious round does not declare drift.
Both sticks must first remain calm. If significant movement is detected after measurement begins, that round is excluded. A suspicious P95 value is not treated as a fault from one round; a second clean round is required. Health interpretation is limited for non-standard gamepad mappings.
P95 represents most samples from a valid centered round only. A round with detected stick movement produces no result; a suspicious value is confirmed with a second round.
Axis mapping may differ on controllers with custom mappings; in that case Testarya shows observed deviation instead of a health verdict.
The test runs in your browser. Supported history and report data in this version is stored locally in your browser using localStorage.
Stick drift is a meaningful axis deviation from zero even after the analog stick is released.
A deadzone ignores small movement around center, reducing unwanted drift in games.
