How to use it
- Start the measurement.
- Move the mouse continuously and quickly in the test area for five seconds.
- Review the average event rate and sample count.
- Repeat the test a few times to check consistency.
Measure the frequency of mouse movement events observed by the browser. When supported, the higher-frequency pointerrawupdate event is used; the result is still not a laboratory measurement of the actual USB polling rate.
After starting, move the mouse continuously and quickly inside the area below. The result measures the browser-observed pointer/mouse event rate; it does not guarantee the mouse's exact hardware USB polling rate.
No measurement yet.
The result is not a direct measurement of the hardware USB polling rate. It estimates the rate of raw/coalesced pointer events received by the browser.
Browser behavior, the operating system, display refresh rate, and event coalescing can affect the result.
The test runs in your browser. Supported history and report data in this version is stored locally in your browser using localStorage.
Not always. Browser event processing can produce lower or more variable values.
It describes how frequently the mouse reports position information to the computer.
