What does it measure?
It checks whether wheel-event direction is consistent in each direction. Delta magnitude alone is not treated as a fault.
Scroll down first, then up. Testarya does not treat one reverse event as a fault; if direction mixing appears, it looks for the same behavior again in a second round.
Check down and up separately; if needed, use a confirmation round instead of treating one odd event as a fault.
Delta magnitude can be affected by the operating system and smooth scrolling; direction consistency is the primary signal.

An encoder issue may appear more strongly in one direction. Sampling down and up separately is more meaningful.
If mixed-direction signals appear in the first round, a confirmation round is requested automatically. One reverse event does not determine the result.
Touchpads and high-resolution smooth scrolling can produce different event patterns.
