How to use it
- Choose 30, 60, or 120 seconds.
- Type the text as accurately as possible at a natural rhythm.
- At the end, compare Net WPM, Raw WPM, accuracy, and consistency.
- Use the error heatmap and finger analysis to identify practice areas.
Measure typing speed, accuracy, and character errors over 30, 60, or 120 seconds.
WPM uses the standard convention of 5 characters = 1 word. The text expands for the selected duration, and one error or missing space does not mark the entire remaining line as incorrect.
High Raw WPM with low accuracy means you are trading too much accuracy for speed. Improving Net WPM and accuracy together is a healthier trend.
Finger analysis is based on a Turkish Q touch-typing assumption. It does not track your actual fingers with a camera or sensor.
The test runs in your browser. Supported history and report data in this version is stored locally in your browser using localStorage.
The standard approach treats five characters as one word and calculates words per minute from elapsed time.
Raw WPM is unadjusted typing speed; Net WPM gives a more useful result by reflecting errors and accuracy.
There is no single universal good value. Accuracy and consistency matter as much as speed depending on your goal.
